Dat Dog is cool, hipster, uptown, local, fresh, NOLA food. Cash only. If you eat anything and everything like me, go with chef’s choice for toppings cause they are great at it. Tomatoes were really fresh, guac, crawfish etouffee (which came out tasting sort of like a pistolette), dijon, onions, and lots of other stuff on top of a local brat. It was all on a sweet hot dog bun.
But I think the fries were where it’s at. Seasoned/Cajun fries, deep fried to a crisp. and I mean like a potato stick, CRISP. Real bacon, real ranch, real cheddar. I’m going back for the fries. And the cool looking drinks at the bar too.
