Went to Jay’s BBQ on Sherwood with Trang when I was in town in BR. We were just driving around and on a whim decided to stop at a BBQ place. She got the burger and I got the po boy, “Jay’s way,” which is smothered in sauce, no veggies. The flavor of both of the dishes were really tasty. The BBQ sauce was sour and sweet and thin. The chopped beef was just chopped up beef stuff and cooked in the sauce. The burger was extremely flavorful with the hickory sauce and the onions. Both of them were squished flat on a panini grill and when served in the basket… looked kinda lonely and teeny. The fries were fresh and crispy. And the BBQ beans.. well they’re baked beans but in bbq sauce. Pretty normal.

I don’t think it was worth it mostly because of portion size. My poboy was 8.25 and the burger was 6.75. I could see how it’s a family place. Good atmosphere and good service though.
