Ma Jiang Mian: I ate it too fast to remember to take a picture when the bowl was full. This is a noodle dish with ground up sesame paste/sauce.
Niu rou tang jiao (beef soup dumplings): dumplings with leek and pork inside, beef soup, pak choy, and pickled greens.
Basically, San Dong Mian Guan on Bellaire in Houston is this awesome little place that has small dishes, noodles made from scratch, dumplings made from scratch, and rice dishes. You need to try the Beef Noodles, Zha jiang mian, or a rice dish (which has some of the bean sauce that is in the zha jiang mian). I think it’s all Taiwanese style too.
